E hoki e tama ki Te Waitao, kia tirohia koe e te mata o Tūwairua - Please don't think I'm being whakahīhī lol but I wrote this for myself to live by. It reminds me that I'm a bit of an outsider to home, and that being a good grandson of Tūwairua (our eponymous kuia) I should be able to return home, stare into the awa of Te Waitao and see a proud Tūwairua staring back at me. I'll know I've done my best then for my iwi and for my baby.
