MO NGĀ WHITIATA - Storytelling through film

Acclaimed filmmaker and TV producer Karen Te Ō Kahurangi Waaka will be facilitating a session with leading screenwriters and directors of Aotearoa, Tim Worrall, Hamish Bennett, and Ramon Te Wake.

Translating stories to screen is what these tumu kōrero (storytellers) do best, and they will bring their expertise and journeys in the film industry to this kōrero. Tim Worrall, a director and designer based in Rotorua, was the screenwriter
for Ka Whawhai Tonu, Hamish Bennett wrote and directed Bellbird, and Ramon Te Wake is the creator of comedy series
The Boy, The Queen, And Everything in Between, among other award-winning films. Come and enjoy this unique perspective
on stories told through film.
