KUPU Writers' Retreat tickets go LIVE Tuesday! š¤©
TÄnÄ koe,
Thank you for signing up to be the first to hear about KUPU Festival updates!
Tickets for the Writersā Retreat in August will be going live on Tuesday 22 July, 6pm (www.kupu.org.nz) and spaces are limited.
The Writersā Retreat will be held at the beautiful Lakes Lodge Okataina and is an exciting opportunity for writers of all kinds (whether youāre a songwriter, poet, reporter, screenwriter, fiction or non-fiction author, etc.) to join a fantastic crew of experienced MÄori writers who will bring their skills, techniques and advice to the retreat. Below is a list of the facilitators. Watch this space as a couple more writers may be added in the coming days. Details of the wÄnanga will be revealed closer to the event.
We will also have a few publishers attending who will be there to support you on your journey. We welcome anyone and everyone who is keen to grow their writing skills, whether youāre a newbie or an old-timer.
Tickets are $450 each and cover a two-night stay at Lakes Lodge Okataina surrounded by the natural beauty of the forest and lake in the area of NgÄti TarÄwhai. All meals will be provided, and there will be outdoor activities include a glow-worm walk and a lake cruise.
If you wish to bring whÄnau or friends who would love to stay but wonāt be attending the retreat, they can share a room with you and pay just $150 per ticket (which covers meals and accommodation). Children under 5 get free admission. Please let us know if you have a group of 2 to 4 who could share a room as this will open up spaces for others. Different payment options are available (including Afterpay).
Feel free to email with any pÄtai you may have. We look forward to welcoming you to Åkataina!
NgÄ manaakitanga,
